Al Etihad Credit Bureau Management Team visits the Saudi and Qatar credit bureaus

Management Team from Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB),the UAE's sole provider of credit report, recently made visits to the Saudi Credit Bureau (SIMAH) and Qatar Credit Bureau to exchange ideas and experience, and discuss plans of credit bureaus in the region.

Al Etihad Credit Bureau Management Team, led by CEO, Marwan Ahmad Lutfi, along with Senior Executives from the bureau’s Data Management, Customer Service and IT departments, discussed the challenges faced by SIMAH and Qatar Credit Bureau during their initial stages of implementation of their systems and services, and explored the key development areas to be considered for the future.

The visits also provided an opportunity for Al Etihad Credit Bureau to build bilateral relationship and strong ties with other regional credit bureaus, establishing the potential for future collaborations and exchange of knowledge and experience.

Marwan Ahmad Lutfi, CEO of Al Etihad Credit Bureau, said: “The visits to both bureaus were very valuable, especially at this stage of the project as we are in the final stage of preparations to become operational. Collaborating and exchanging knowledge as well as sharing experience with other bureaus will play a pivotal role in achieving our goals and strengthen our development. Sheikh Bandar Bin Mohammed Bin Saoud Al-Thani, CEO of Qatar Credit Bureau, said: “We are delighted that Marwan Ahmad Lutfi and the Al Etihad Credit Bureau’s team visited Qatar Credit Bureau to learn about our experience in implementing and running a credit reporting system. Visits between credit bureaus across the GCC contribute to the exchange of experience and knowledge, and lead to discussions about cooperation between the the organisations, helping to develop their operations and the services they offer.
